Unfortunately the part numbers in their catalog are their own so I can't
tell if they have what you are looking for.

I'm writing this to let you all know about this neat catalog I just
recieved from pegasaus racing. It's full of things that I think sunbeam
people could use. They have jets for the Weber 32/36 DGV carb., they also
have master cylinders from Girling and Lockheed that look almost exactly
like our sunbeam ones, only
cheaper. These are just a couple of the tons of cool stuff in their
catalog. So if anybody is interested.

Delta Cam's phone # : 206-383-4152 or 206-572-2769(fax) They have numerous

P.S. I took in a stock cam for grinding which appeared to be in good
condition. Don't know what they do with ones "in very bad shape."

Rick, I agree about the fuel tanks on the later alpines and tigers being
unsafe. I have also thought about replacing mine with a fuel cell. I just
recieved a catolog from PEGASUS AUTO RACING SUPPLIES

they have some ready made fuel cells available in the catalog, along with
other neat stuff.
Also in grassroots motorsports magazine there is and add for fuel cells,
they have a catolog that's free.their address is AIRCRAFT RUBBER

they also go under the name of FUEL SAFE RACING CELLS. I don't have their

Fellow Alpine Owners,
Just subscribed to the Alpines mailing list, looks great, glad to be able
to talk to other owners.
I thought I'd let you know a little about myself. I'm an original owner of
a 1967 Alpine V which I bought for $2,460 in September 1967. Our Alpine is
black on black and now has about 64,500 on the odometer.
Over the years I've owned 16 Alpines and Tigers and currently have my
original Alpine and a 1966 Tiger Ia which is red with balck interior.
In 1976 I started "Classic Sunbeam Auto Parts" as a response to the lack of
parts on the market. As many parts went unavaialble, we started a parts
reproduction program that as of today produced over 50 parts. In the
begining it was rubber trim and some chrome items and our most recent items
included the front amber and clear lenses, the rear upper lenses in amber
and red and the rear lower lense for the Alpine IV,V and Tigers. Our parts
are supplied world wide to both owners as well as other Sunbeam parts
suppliers. As a Alpine/Tiger owner myself, I make an effort to make all of
our repoductions to the highest standard of quality.
If I can be of any help in answereing your tech-problems or if you would
like our free catalog, please feel free to contact me.

Hi all,
I just have to share this find --[ insert usual disclaimers, i do not work
Tucked away in sunny Fort Lauderdale is a treasure throve of used British
Car parts. Over the years Joe Peters, of Imported Auto Emporium
bought\serviced\sold all makes and models of britcarsand has collected
a few various bits.
He has wooden steering wheels, mag wheels, carbies, seats, engines and
engine parts to name a few.
To the best of my knowledge he will even mail\ship parts.

Subject: FOUND: 1 Rob Martel - kind of
Priority: normal
Yesterday I successfully tracked down North America's most talented
and infamous manufacturer of Sunbeam repair panels, Mr. Rob Martel of
Rob Martel Enterprises, Alliston, Ontario. Don't know who this guy
is? Check out his catalog in the suppliers section of the Tiger web site.
It seems Rob has gotten a bit burned out on making panels and has
decided to take a sabbatical for a few months. Hence, he has had his
shop phone turned off. (He said he was being interrupted continually
and couldn't get any work done.)
For those of you who have gotten to the point in their restorations
where they need top quality panels from Rob, it is possible to get
them. You have two choices:
1. Contact Rob by mail at his shop address: 9-171 Dufferin St. S.,
Alliston, ON L9R 1E7, CANADA. All inquiries will be promptly
answered. He has a large quantity of rockers and other popular panels
that should last through his sabbatical.
2. Purchase panels from Doug Jennings at Tiger Auto in Dayton, OH
(phone 513-252-3317). He has stockpiled a small quantity of panels
on Rob's behalf and is selling them for exactly what Rob sells them
for.

Rapier Owners Club as the steering wheel is the same in Series 3-5

Terry - the Alpine Sean Connnery drove in Dr. No was a Series II. As for the
fake white walls, I have a set on my Series 3 and they look GREAT!. They were
purchased from Coker Tire, and are still available for $26.95 for all four.
They add a two inch whitewall to the tire. They are not glued on, they just fit
REALLY SNUG. Your tire mounter has to be careful getting them and the tire onto
a wire wheel properly, but once fit, I have had no problem with them. Because
of their snug fit you cannot tell they're fakes until you walk up and try to get
your fingernail underneath. You can reach Coker at 1-800-251-6336 or for

orders over $40. Their catalog includes springs, screws, bolts, nuts, and

---------------Original Message---------------
All,
During the rebuild of my Series III, I am replacing all nuts and bolts with
ones
made of stainless. I have placed a large order for an assortment of said
items.
Unfortunately this only solves part of the problem. There are still a large
number of longer/larger bolts that must be replaced and I have no desire to
order a box of 100 of one particular size. Does anyone know of an
inexpensive
mail-order place to by stainless fasteners? I am willling to place a large
order
but it would be a lot of different sizes.
Thanks,

These are the panels that Classic Car Developments list, 1997. I'm not
including the prices, and all the other UK suppliers do a similar range.
I'm sure Curt could order anything for you in the US, as opposed to making
expensive & unproductive transatlantic calls.
No, I don't work for them.
This ain't an advert, just an example of what's available, and often

Oxide and nobody makes more of it, better and faster than British car
manufacturers.

Aside from the Alpine/Tiger specialists, there's
one company 'listers' might not know about:-
R.J. Grimes (Coulsdon) Ltd
Hadleigh Garage, Marlpit Lane,
Coulsdon, Surrey, CR5 2YE
tel 0181 668 1455 fax 0181 668 6752
they are "parts specialists for Rootes vehicles, going back to 1930s"
they advertise "worldwide mail-order"
the 'practical classics' magazine people have been dealing with them for years.
p.s. they don't have a catalogue:-
it's best to know what you want, ideally with part numbers.
I don't know if anybody in US/canada has any experience of dealing with
them. (Tom ??)

Subject: Overdrives and Unitrax
Hello Scott And Everyone:
I called Unitrax today at (714)630-4327 and spoke to Norm, I believe,
their manager. The good news: They do make overdrives. The bad news:
They won't fit Alpines. He seemed knowledgable and said the unit they
make fits in the driveline between the transmission and the
differential. Unfortunately, it's too long for the distance involved in
an Alpine. They do not have what we'd call a conversion kit for standard
transmissions to be changed to OD. Too bad.
If I understood clearly, they do supply replacement gears and parts for
Laylock overdrives so those of you lucky enough to already have ODs may
save some money having a ready source for parts.

Here is the information on Venolia.

I order the parts at "dealer" pricing. Even the next step up seemed
reasonable. These are forged racing pistons with high strength pins.

I was expecting a "@" or two,
no spaces,

'fraid the mag's a wee bit light on material this issue, IMHO.
it's mostly internet downloads, including some photos from
'our' Rootes sites. Don't be mad, Mark & TJ !

Kurt - here's the info I got from the previous owner of our
new S3: Just Suspensions, 311 US HWY #46, Fairfield NJ 07004
(973)808-0066. Some measurements have to be taken before
they can provide the covers, and I'm not sure what is required.
If you get a part number from them, please post it here, thanks!
