Rather than use any kind of "NEW" indicator I use a Revision Date in the page footer, linked to this page. This solves a big problem: "New since when?" - I can never be sure, even for regular visitors, that what I mark as new is actually new to a reader, and what I un-mark isn't actually old. So, you decide: read the date and remember when you were last here.
Action words are colour-coded so at a glance you can see how "different" a release is by the predominance of one colour or another. Created and Deleted items are assumed to be of most interest, followed by Added and Changed. Extinct pages were Deleted some time in the past.

Gak! Can it really have been 12 years since the last update??? With that ghastly colour scheme??? Oh my... I never looked at it much after I built it I guess, went running off making other things and didn't look in to see what new displays did with it. Or I didn't update this page.
Though this looks like a pretty major re-write, my Blogs framework was easy to adapt and lots of old stuff just dropped right in and took up the new environment. I'll test on a few more platforms this time though before I leave it sit.
Created a new layout inspired by the old one and my Blogs, complete with multi-size logos made from tables. Deleted 5 Ws and an H - it looked kinda hokey and my Résumé says enough about me. Deleted Rob Martel Enterprises and Deleted Synergy Network - they're on to other places. Changed links that used to be just in the main-page footer to be on the main page and in the header/footer of subsidiary pages. Added Blogs and Galleries. Added Rootes Group Trivia to list under My Sunbeam Alpine. Added Books wrapper with iframe. Added Music TBT page as a reference (too large right now for an iframe. Added Résumé wrapper with iframe. Added NotFound custom 404/410 page. |

After two years sitting idle, time to rebuild The BRIDGE Tree. Jerome's Sunbeam Pages and Résumé led the way, being ground-up all-Apalon works. Now it is time to move to the top and Apalon-ize back down the Tree-specific pieces and re-evaluate what was there. The re-build is being done in pieces, maintaining integration with the older material.
